A “fortified house” from the year one thousand, in Val Tidone, not far from Piacenza, which was a convent and refuge for partisans, has been restored and revitalized with a classic taste and attention to the characteristics of the time but with a fresh spirit.
The restoration included, for example, the transformation of the stables into a modern gym, while the former barn has become a place for “parties and dinners,” capable of accommodating up to 100 people.
Dialogues between contemporaneity and classicism are noticeable in the interior details, such as the Cloud sofa by Marcel Wanders for Moooi next to the carved stone fireplace, alongside bergère chairs from the early twentieth century.
