PROJECT N.2
A Venetian Gothic palace from the 1400s, a luxurious apartment, a restoration that highlights all the beauty of the place.
Castellarin wanted to reflect the waters of the Canal with a series of antique mirrors, a sort of “Galerie des Glaces” in the Serenissima, creating a stunning and scenographic mirroring effect.
Here, classical figures act as guardians to environments that seem like theatrical sets, suspended between the dreamlike and the playful.
Many incursions of contemporary furniture and great masters of design, an ultra-contemporary steel kitchen, seventeenth-century portraits, mosaic floors, stuccoes, and trompe-l’œil.
An “unseen” Venice that tells itself through a disassembled but incomparable artwork: a series of frames where the façade of St. Mark’s Basilica appears – fragmented but inimitable.
